Historic LGBT Congress brings together more than 100 activists and their families in Caacupé

The National Meeting of Parents and Friends of LGBT people was held on November 22nd, as well as the start the National LGBT Congress, organized by SOMOSGAY in the city of Caacupé, department of Cordillera. The event began promptly at 10:30 with opening remarks of the Executive Director and Co-Founder of SOMOSGAY, Simon Cazal, plus several presentations by activists and members of the organization. The Congress gathered more than 100 activists from across the country to begin what will become a series of departmental and municipal conferences, which will be gradually developed at medium term.

The Kuimba'e Clinic expands its services with support of the Central Department Government

On the morning of Tuesday, November 18th, Simon Cazal, accompanied by SOMOSGAY’s Health Area Manager and the Community Liaison team, participated in an audience with the Governor of the Central Department, Mr. Blas Lanzoni and Departmental Councillor, Ms. Silvia Mendieta, to present the experiences and results achieved through the activities of HIV testings, made by the Men’s Wellness Center “Kuimba'e”.

En la mañana del martes 18 de noviembre, Simón Cazal, en carácter de Director Ejecutivo de SOMOSGAY junto con los encargados del Área de Enlace Comunitario, participó de una audiencia con el Gobernador del Departamento Central, Sr. Blas Lanzoni y la Concejala departamental Lic. Silvia Mendieta, a modo de presentarle las experiencias y resultados obtenidos mediante las jornadas de testeos masivos de VIH a través de la Clínica Kuimba'e.

La organización SOMOSGAY ha sido inscripta en el Registro de Organizaciones No Gubernamentales dedicadas a la problemática que afecta a la Niñez y la Adolescencia, de la Secretaría de la Niñez y la Adolescencia según la Resolución Nro. 644/2014.
