SOMOSGAY is now part of the National Register of NGOs working on issues affecting children and adolescents, which is moderated by the Ministry of Children and Adolescents, under the Resolution 644/2014.

"In view of the documentation submitted by SOMOSGAY, it is shown that it meets the requirements set by Resolution 13/09 dated 14 January 2009”. By the same token, the Resolution no. 644/2014 was issued, stating: "Whereby the record in the National Secretariat for Children and Adolescents of the NGO dedicated to the problems affecting children and adolescents, SOMOSGAY is available”.

The National Secretariat for Children and Adolescents as a guiding and coordinating body for public policies on the promotion and protection of rights of children and adolescents, to locate the best interests of children and adolescents as a center, making effective the full enjoyment of their rights with proposals that promote social and community mobilization at national, departmental and municipal levels.

“This victory means a structural enablement to generate social changes that protect, train and empower girls, children and adolescents in our country” said Simon Cazal, Executive Director of SOMOSGAY. “Historically, LGBT children and adolescents have been ignored in public policies, so this is why we consider this opportunity as historic and key to put the needs of children and adolescents in the center of these policies”, reaffirmed.
