Activistas de SOMOSGAY electos como representantes en el MCP Paraguay

El pasado sábado 4 de octubre a las 18:00 hs., en el local del Centro Comunitario LGBT de Asunción, se llevó a cabo la primera asamblea extraordinaria, con motivo de la elección de dos representantes de nuestras comunidades, quienes ocuparán un lugar en el espacio político que define y administra los proyectos para los que Paraguay recibe financiamiento del Fondo Mundial de Lucha Contra el Sida, la Tuberculosis y la Malaria.

The first Extraordinary Assembly of SOMOSGAY took place in the LGBT Community Center on Saturday, October 4th, for the election of two representatives from our communities who will occupy a political space that defines and manages projects for which Paraguay is funded by the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria. The Assembly was attended by Mrs. Adriana Irun, in her role of Co-Chair of the Country Coordinating Mechanism.

El pasado sábado 7 de setiembre, arrancó la cuarta serie de Talleres del Programa Agentes Comunitarios en Derechos Humanos y Salud. Esta es una iniciativa de la Organización SOMOSGAY, que busca capacitar a jóvenes de 16 años en adelante con las y los mejores profesionales del país y el extranjero, desarrollando un liderazgo más efectivo.

To celebrate the month of youth in Paraguay and the first anniversary of the organization of lesbian women in Paraguay, the members of SOMOSGAY and LESVOS gathered the first edition of the "Rainbow Festival", on Saturday September 13th. For this activity, the Independencia Nacional street was closed between Jejuí and Manduvirá, across the Municipal Market.

On Saturday September 6th, the fourth series of Workshops of the “Community Agents on Human Rights and Health” Program started. This initiative seeks to empower young people aged 16 and older with the best professionals in the country, developing a more effective leadership, allowing them to make bonds at the different levels of policy planning and implementation of activities that affect them as young people.
