With an attendance of more than 50 people , the first day of the course Community Agents on HR and Health was held at the Headquarters of the LGBT Community Center of the organization SOMOSGAY, on Saturday September 7th. Courses go from 2pm to 6pm on Saturdays and consist of 10 modules with themes developed by different professionals.
During the training workshops topics will be developed by professionals, and these will include; Heteronormativity with Ms. Fabiola Ivaszuk, Transmission of HIV and STIs with Dr. Ivan Allende, Recreational Drugs by Ms. Fabiola Ivaszuk, Facilitation Practice developed by the attorney Inés López, Behavioral Expressions of sexuality with Ms. Patricia Aguilar, History of LGBT Movement in Paraguay by Simon Cazal, LGBT Rights in Paraguay conducted by attorney Ines Lopez and David Velázquez. Lastly, training for massive HIV testings 2.0 by the Educator Leopoldo Sanchez will also be conducted.
The objective of this course is to emphasize the importance of education in everyday life , with the prospect of realizing the universality of human rights, and is aimed at young people and students in secondary and tertiary levels. The Human Rights Education through the dimensions of knowledge transfer, skills development and attitude formation, allows you to create awareness of our common ground regarding the protection of human dignity.
Community Agents, is an innovative program with the main support of the European Union and the Fundacion Triangulo. The European Union is an organization active in all political fronts, which promotes human rights inside and around the world.
The Fundacion Triangulo is a nonprofit organization whose goal is social equality for lesbian, gay, bisexual or transgender, that all people are treated equally regardless of their sexual orientation or gender identity.
