The Team of the Summer Guardians, made up of the Kuimba'e Clinic's Specialists and Community Agents specialized in Human Rights and Health, will be providing informational materials, sharing interesting sex tips and giving away free condoms and lubricants.


The Team of the Summer Guardians, made up of the Kuimba'e Clinic's Specialists and Community Agents specialized in Human Rights and Health, will be providing informational materials, sharing interesting sex tips and giving away free condoms and lubricants. In addition, they will be taking instant HIV tests for free, which are voluntary and confidential, with results ready in just 5 minutes.

These activities will be carried out in different areas of the country, such as the Costaneras of Asunción and Encarnación, the City of Villarrica, the bike path of Ñu Guazu, the busiest markets like Mercado 4, Mercado de San Lorenzo and the Mercado de Abasto, well known Campuses from several universities and Regional Hospitals.

The Summer Guardians are part of a larger campaign called "Love CONDOM - LOVE PARAGUAY" which SOMOSGAY developed with the support of the AHF (AIDS Healthcare Foundation), which implements novel effective strategies to respond to HIV in the country sharing information, making awareness campaigns, lectures, materials, condoms, lubricants and more.

The campaign aims to draw attention towards the correct use of condoms to prevent HIV and other sexually transmitted infections, timely, to highlight the importance in the country to promote the overall health of all people in a friendly environment free of discrimination.

The Guardians of the Summer will be accompanied by a team of specialized counselors, focused on helping to make decisions that achieve full sexual health, overcoming social and structural barriers to our fulfillment as individuals.

Young people must be able to enjoy their sexuality by understanding and evaluating the responsibilities and risks involved in the full exercise of their sexuality. Furthermore, to achieve and maintain sexual health, it is important to respect and protect the sexual rights of all people. Sexual rights are part of human rights of all individuals. These rights relate to the respect for the physical integrity of the human body, the right to information and sexual health services, and the right to make decisions about our own sexuality.
