To help organizations that implement projects financed by the Global Fund, the forum "Risk Management: Effective management of risks for sustainable transition programs financed by the Global Fund."
This event provides an opportunity to share management strategies to improve the effectiveness of programs in the management of subsidies, where sustainability and transition are key factors and is held in Panama City from 21 to 23 March.
Context
The Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria is withdrawing or reducing support in many middle-income countries. This withdrawal is based on the premise that countries "middle income" can afford to take their costs and care.
However, "relative" wealth has been shown to have little to do with the layout, the will or the ability of these countries to take responsibility for HIV programs, especially those focused on HIV programs for gay men and other men who they have sex with men, transgender women, etc.
While the withdrawal of the Global Fund has been listed as a "transition" or "graduation", the experiences of some countries often suggest that a less positive process.
