The 22nd International Film Festival of Paraguay with the theme "Peace and diversity", is an event that is sponsored by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and foreign diplomatic missions, and sponsorship of the National Culture Fund (FONDEC), Holding Radio and other major organizations and companies. The Festival gives our society the opportunity to see quality cinema that does not reach the commercial billboard therefore celebrating cinema as art, entertainment and culture, making the public sensitive to diversity and cooperating in bringing nations together.
C.R.A.Z.Y. is an award winning Canadian film, shot in French, located in Quebec. It premiered in 2005 and theme is the life of a gay teenager during the 1970s and how he must overcome difficulties in his family, culture and society that arise in his environment against this fact. A love story between a father and a son, a mystical tale full of fantasy about beauty, madness and poetry of the human soul. After the show, attendees enjoyed a toast.
SOMOSGAY work and supports these activities that promote the inclusion of diversity in our cultures and seeks to contribute through art building a more inclusive, democratic society free of homophobia.
