AHF (AIDS Healthcare Foundation) is the largest organization fighting AIDS in the world. Since 1987, AHF provides care and services to more than 152,000 people living with HIV and AIDS in 26 countries worldwide. The organization creates and implements programs unprecedented new communities in the U.S. and abroad, expanding the provision of healthcare and influence over politics with the sole aim of saving more lives.
In the United States, the International Condom Day was first celebrated in 1978 on the campus of the University of California , Berkeley. In the 80s he went from being a local event to be part of universities, schools and organizations around the world.
During the activity in our country, flavored condoms and lubricants were distributed to everyone who came to the streets of downtown Asuncion. Also the present people participated in an innovative flashmob (activity that brings together a group of people to perform an action or improvised choreography) that was part of an international video organized by the AHF.
During the day, these counted with specialized counseling focused on helping to make decisions that achieve full sexual health, overcoming social and structural barriers that often hinder our wholeness as people in Paraguay.
