In order to facilitate the participation of the LGBT community, SOMOSGAY along with the Paraguayan Chamber of Hotels, organizes a day of selection and training in order to give scholarships to LGBT persons to this international event of Hotels to take place at the Sheraton Asuncion Hotel in September of 2009.
The TALK ON JOB TRAINING ON THE TOURIST INDUSTRY will be held on Friday August 28th of 2009. The talk will have two parts, the first will be an introduction to the field to be discussed in the conferences and the second one will administer an aptitude test to determine the profile of the people to be awarded. Aware of the economical situation and low access to jobs for young people in our country, SOMOSGAY will initiate a series of training activities along with other private organizations in our country and abroad. This activity takes part of the mission of SOMOSGAY TRABAJO; making a better socioeconomic reality to LGBT people in Paraguay.
It is with the fulfillment of this mission that SOMOSGAY TRABAJO seeks to transform the paradigm of job inclusion towards one that recognizes the diversity in the society, specifically, in the youth sector.
SOMOSGAY restates its commitment in the development of LGBT people in Paraguay, in its mission to work for a Paraguay free of homophobia.
