SOMOSGAY and LESVOS carried out the campaign "Our Hands for an equal Paraguay" to support the CAMSAT (Center of Mutual Support and Health for All) of the Bañado Tacumbú Norte neighbourhood. On Thursday June 19th, all donations were delivered after being received at the LGBT Community Center during a whole week.

This initiative was initiated in response to the national emergency situation in which thousands of people are affected by the floods of the Paraguay River. The School of Biology and College of Exact Sciences (FACEN) of the National University of Asuncion gave tremendous support to this campaign with donations of nonperishable food, mattresses, sheets, blankets and coats.

Today in our country, around 15,000 families have been displaced by the floods. In Asuncion, more than 60,000 people have fled their homes and settle in camps, farms of the military or in public spaces.

SOMOSGAY and LESVOS, with the commitment of building a more equal society for everyone, where all citizens can have access to a better life, would like to thank everyone who gave their support to this campaign.
