Today, more than ever, we stand towards a society that guarantees rights to all of our families and we are convinced that history is inevitable on our side.

 
How to celebrate pride every day? SOMOSGAY has been doing this for 7 consecutive years. With its multicolored graffiti guarani myths and characters from popular culture, this headquarters of pride and love defies rigid and false schemes showing the diversity, showing that a more just and united world is possible.
 
The fateful June 12 last, with what happened in Orlando, and everyday occurrences of discrimination in Paraguay, the rest of the region and the world do not diminish our forces. We are not discouraged but, on the contrary, this situation strengthens us. It confirms us that we are on the right track; because we see achievements, lights are added and smiles of happy families encourage us.

 

We will continue because we are stronger, we have more arms. We have more joy. We never oppose hate to hate. To the disease of homophobia medicine we offer solidarity and dignity. Our answer is always unconditional love.

 

We are proud to be different. We are proud of our equally diverse families. We are proud to be gay, lesbian, bisexual and trans. Because we have always existed and we will always exist. Because we are invaluable human beings. Because the uniform models are mere dogmas imposed by power structures that are not consistent with reality. So with pride and love in the air, we have more strength than ever to demand the guarantee of our human rights.
 
Paraguay is not just a few, is all. It is for all families. So colors; hence the rainbow.
 
On July 9, in Asuncion, Paraguay, will celebrate together Pride, for equality, love and the rights of all families. Parade #Pride206 will be held “Plaza de la Libertad” at 13 hours.
 
We will never be sad or locked. Today and every day we love each other.
