During the event, a video was shown in which several Paraguayan celebrities devoted greetings and messages of support for the new organization, including Menchi Barriocanal, Carlos Martini, Mario Ferreiro, Tana Schémbori, Juan Carlos Maneglia, Mili Britez Felix Toranzos, Letizia Medina, Carmiña Masi, Dayana Urunaga, Marly Figueredo, among others.
With a strong and assertive stance Monica Encina, spokeswoman to LESVOS, began the formal event, in which she emphasized "Lesvos is born to insert lesbian women in a more fluid and direct dialogue with Paraguayan society. We feel the need to advocate for public policies to protect human rights, especially those that relate to the reality we live as lesbians and all LGBT people in Paraguay"
The event went well with musical performances and Rocio Robledo Tamara Acevedo , who also gave their support to the initiatives of Lesvos, in addition to the band's The Wine House, who sang songs in a tribute to Amy Winehouse.
On LESVOS
Lesvos emerges as a political alternative social articulation of lesbian Paraguayan women, that seeks to provide a space where you can also break the isolation generated by lesbophobia and machismo, plan and develop solutions to various challenges that lesbian women face in daily basis in Paraguay .
