This activity will feature Marcela Ordenes of the Group of Parents, Relatives and Friends of the Sexual Diversity of the Chilean Organization MUMS, as well as parents and relatives of LGBT youth across the country.
The purpose of the meeting is to create a space for socializing and sharing experiences leading to the involvement of parents and relatives of LGBT youth, so they can share their skills, fears and challenges to improve the lives of LGBT relatives and their relatives living with HIV.
The meeting’s program aims to develop themes related to diverse sexuality, Human Rights, LGBT activism, HIV/AIDS among others, to provide tools for dialogue between parents and their children.
This project called "Araroky Tava: favorable social environments for active youth participation in the exercise of their Human Rights " is driven by SOMOSGAY and has the support of the European Union and Spanish Fundación Triangulo.
Given that the family is the first environment where the young people have the support and information, SOMOSGAY seeks to build a more equal society free of homophobia for All LGBT youth.
