AHF Latin America and SOMOSGAY inaugurated, on Friday May 24, the first clinic of Health and Welfare for men. "Kuimba'e " will offer free testing and treatment for sexually transmitted infections, HIV testing, doctor visits, immunizations for hepatitis, human papilloma virus, tetanus among others, all of these services are free of charge to all users.The specialist clinic will be open Monday to Saturday from 14 to 22 hours with several services available that do not require making an appointment. Medical care will be available from 4pm to 8pm. The AIDS Healthcare Foundation (AHF) is the world's largest organization of care and treatment of HIV, providing care and services to more than 120,000 people in 22 countries worldwide. Kuimba'e is the second clinic of its kind in Latin America, an adaptation of the program "Men 's Wellness Center," part of an ongoing effort to standardize the early detection and treatment of HIV and sexually transmitted infections (STIs). Becoming a regular tester is an important part of self-care such as eating well, going to the gym and taking vitamins . The goal is simple: to identify people that need to be integrated into systems of health care, which will reduce local rates of HIV and STI infection. The Program contributes significantly to MWC early detection of HIV in men fashion, so it is a very effective for identifying new infections program. In Kuimba'e, you can get a full set of tests of sexual health in one place . All services are completely confidential and there is no cost to users. The "Kuimba'e" Clinic is located in Independencia Nacional 1032 and Manduvirá in the center of the city of Asuncion and will be under the direction of Dr. Ivan Allende, SOMOSGAY's Health Manager. SOMOSGAY celebrates the opening of this new center and sustains the hope that through it a necessary service to the communities it serves are offered.
