Professionals of the Kuimba'e Clinic and Community Agents conducted on September 6 a entire day event with Free, voluntary and rapid HIV/Syphilis Testing in the Army Command (Ex Cavalry).
Approximately 250 test were conducted, while over 400 people participated in a workshop on Sexual Health and STIs, where participants could ask questions and clarify their doubts on the subject.
In our country, throughout this year new HIV diagnoses were detected in all health regions. The most relevant are: Central, Asuncion, Alto Paraná and Itapúa, and as of June of 2013, 538 cases of people living with HIV were diagnosed, of whom 325 are men.
The Kuimba'e Clinic, specializing in the health and welfare of man, has the support of the AIDS Healthcare Foundation and aims to make visible the importance of condom use to prevent HIV and STIs, highlights the importance in the country to promote the overall health of all people in a friendly environment free from discrimination.
