Kuimba'e is the first health care and wellness clinic for men in Paraguay. This is an initiative of SOMOSGAY with the support of AIDS Healthcare Foundation, the largest world organization for attention and treatment in HIV.
Health care professionals, councillors, linkers and psychologists provide first level attention and help to the community in matters of health and STIs.
The clinic is located in Independencia Nacional 1032 casi Manduvirá and is open to the public in the following schedules:
HIV and syphilis testing
Monday to Thursday: 14:00 to 20:00 hrs.
Friday and Saturday: 14:00 to 00:00 hrs.
Specialized health care attention
Monday to Friday: 12:00 to 20:00 hrs
Saturdays: 15:00 to 18:00 hrs.
Psychological Attention
Tuesday and Wednesday: 16:00 to 19:00 hrs.
HIV and syphilis testing services as well as health care attention are completely free and confidential. To request an appointment you can call (021) 495 802 and (0986) 173 200.
About the professionals
The clinic works with the most qualified health care professional and with the recognition of the Ministry of Health. In health care area doctors Juan Pablo Servín, Antonio Spagnolo and Ever Ortiz provide attention and the psychologist Yolanda Mujica works in the psychological area.
Kuimba'e Clinic functions within the LGBT Community Center, a pleasant location far from having a hospital's appearance and first and foremost a community center open for everybody whose warm, friendly and free from judgment environment contributes to a full exercise of human rights without stigma or discrimination.
