Every Saturday, professionals and volunteers of the Kuimba'e Clinic with Community Agents on Human Rights and Health, hold days with rapid and freetestings for HIV and Syphilis in Plaza de los Heroes from 9 am to 3 pm with the aim of promoting the correct use of condoms, lubricants and timely and early detection of HIV. The first day began on Saturday July 27 with a favorable call.
In addition to the Plaza de los Heroes, this activity will take place over several weekends in different areas of Asunción, Gran Asunción, the costanera, bikeways and fairs as well as in other cities in the country. Condoms, lubricants and health-related materials will be distributed to provide more information to people who come to have the test done.
This initiative is a collaboration of AHF (AIDS Healthcare Foundation) and the Kuimba'e Clinic with the objectives of making visible the importance of use of condoms to prevent HIV and STIs, highlighting the importance of promoting health to all people, in a friendly environment free from discrimination in the country.
SOMOSGAY with the support of the community agents trained to promote adequate and timely information on health and human rights in their communities, and with the support of professionals of the Kuimba'e Clinic seeks to achieve a society where health, welfare and human rights are recognized and guaranteed for all.
