In an interview carried out by Simon Cazal from SOMOSGAY to the journalist Carlos Martini (sociologist, writer and college professor) has expressed that Paraguayan society is quite demure in terms of sexual diversity due to the lack of freedom that have historically influenced our country. "An educational program that teaches a man (or woman) to be tolerant, that promotes sexual orientations with respect, must start in kindergarten. It is just like learning to read or swim, you can pretend to inculcate respect to something that is different at the age of 15 or 20" he pointed out.
The known journalist expressed, in concordance with other like Mario Ferreiro and Mina Feliciángeli, that same sexy marriage is a primary element in the equal rights movement. Martini who has always supported his posture in the interview, claims that in almost twenty years of his career, he never received homophobic censorships or pression by the board of the media he worked at.
