SOMOSGAY sponsors the First Cartonera Fair in Paraguay

SOMOSGAY sponsored this initiative to fulfill its objective of promoting alternative spaces of expression that propel a culture with solidarity, diverse and inclusive. Besides SOMOSGAY, this initiative was sponsored by the National Secretariat of Culture and received the support of Itaipu Binational. The search for propelling a smooth dialogue with all sectors of the society, at the time of giving visibility to this type of editorial experiences in Paraguay and great part of America, as promoters of the reading at the grassroot levels, and also as facilitators of an inclusive literary creation, within an economy with solidarity, ecology and sustainability.

SOMOSGAY and the Paraguayan LGBT Federation celebrated the KISS-IN PARAGUAY BICENTENNIAL

SOMOSGAY and the Paraguayan LGBT Federation organized by second year in a row the KISS-IN BICENTENNIAL 2011, along with the celebrations of the International Day Against Homophobia and Transphobia (IDAHO). This date is celebrated on May 17 of every year in commemoration of the elimination of homosexuality as a disease from the list of the World Health Organization on that date in 1990.
