In its third edition, the campaign was under the motto "Let's raise the equality flag together&rdquo;, stressing the diversity that makes up LGBT communities.
The parade took place in the first days after the parliamentary coup d'&eacute;tat that had been suffered in Paraguay, which turned it into a space for democratic demand that brought color to the protests against the huge decline of our freedoms because of this institutional breakdown. The parade and the campaign strongly demanded the full participation of all people in building an inclusive society. SOMOSGAY raised a coherent position with its ideal of democracy, freedom and equality, with full guarantee of the universality of human rights in Paraguay.

En el 2012, d&iacute;as despu&eacute;s de un golpe de estado que provoc&oacute; el quiebre democr&aacute;tico del pa&iacute;s, SOMOSGAY convoc&oacute; a su segundo Congreso Nacional LGTB.   Esta oportunidad hist&oacute;rica nos permiti&oacute; dar una oportunidad de ser escuchados y construir demandas pol&iacute;ticas de movilizaci&oacute;n hacia diversas instituciones de gobierno y la sociedad civil en un momento dif&iacute;cil de la historia del Paraguay y por ese mismo motivo, se hizo m&aacute;s que oportuna.
Uno de los principales temas que fueron abordados, es la actitud que se tomar&aacute; al demandar a los Gobiernos (a nivel central, departamental y municipal) la urgencia de realizar esfuerzos, generar conocimiento y acciones hacia la consolidaci&oacute;n de un Estado Laico Paraguayo, libre de prejuicios y orientado por los principios universales de la Carta de Derechos Humanos.
 
En el contexto del golpe de estado sufrido en nuestro pa&iacute;s, el segundo Congreso emiti&oacute; una serie de conclusiones que orientar&aacute;n las acciones de la organizaci&oacute;n de cara al futuro. Estas acciones priorizaron el fortalecimiento del movimiento asociativo LGTB en todo el pa&iacute;s, para sostener y aumentar la movilizaci&oacute;n ciudadana en la defensa de los derechos humanos de las personas LGTB.

In 2012, days after a coup d'&eacute;tat&nbsp;that led to the country's democratic breakdown, SOMOSGAY convened its second National LGBT Congress. This historic opportunity allowed us to give an opportunity to be heard and build political demands for the mobilization of various government institutions and civil society at a difficult time in the history of Paraguay and for that reason, it was more than appropriate.

One of the main issues that were addressed, is the attitude to be taken to sue governments (at central, departmental and municipal levels), the urgency of efforts to generate knowledge and actions towards the consolidation of a Paraguayan secular state, free from prejudice and guided by the universal principles of the Charter of Human Rights.

In the context of the coup d'&eacute;tat&nbsp;suffered in our country, the Congress issued a second set of conclusions that guide the actions of the organization for the future. These actions prioritized strengthening the LGBT associations across the country, to sustain and increase citizen mobilization in the defense of human rights of LGBT people.

SOMOSGAY conducted a series of different activities during the "Week of the fight against Homophobia." The campaign claimed the right to express affection without discrimination, and therefore used as part of its image heterosexual couples of different ages, giving an inclusive and plural image that generated an enormous acceptance. The KISS IN event was attended by over 300 people and several municipal and legislative authorities, marking a milestone in terms of call and attendance. Adding his voice to the vast majority of people, SOMOSGAY also calls for an inclusive society without inequalities, embracing diversity and maintaining their union, democracy and freedom.
