In keeping with its policy of achieving a Paraguay with full dignity, equity and health , free from discrimination based on sexual orientation or gender identity, SOMOSGAY has signed a cooperation agreement with the General Directorate of Continuing Education ( DGEP ) CSF . This agreement seeks to create educational projects that benefit young people and adults from a popular education approach .
The agreement aims to facilitate the development of educational projects and activities that incorporate and promote the training of young people and adults from the popular education approach to ensure the quality , accessibility , equity , recognition of prior knowledge , the respect for human rights and promotion of democratic values , through formal and non-formal educational models .
The document was signed by the general director of Continuing Education, Maria de la Paz Bareiro , the MEC , and Simon Cazal Fernandez for civil organization. The event took place in the Paraguayan Centre for Continuing Education Ko'e Pyahu (Avenida Eusebio Ayala , km 4.5 ) .
The DGEP is a dependent instance of the Deputy Minister of Education for Educational Management MEC , which develops integrated plans and programs of literacy , primary and secondary education and training programs and vocational training for young people and adults who have not entered the formal education or have dropped out .
