SOMOSGAY announces its free series of workshops for Community Agents in Human Rights and Health. The training program, internationally supported, aims to train leaders to positively impact society. This year the course will have some new implementations such as distribution of kits to replicate SOMOSGAY’s experiences in neighborhoods or communities.
The training program of “Community Agents” consist of a set of theoretical-practical workshops in human rights and healthcare with emphasis on HIV/AIDS and STIs. The aim is to empower the public so they can implement the resources and knowledgment of SOMOSGAY in their neighborhoods and communities.
The course is certified and several local and international experts will be in charge of the modules. The community agents will acquire all knowledge and skills necessary for planning, strategy, administration, group management as well as human rights, sexuality and health care. The training is supported by international organizations such as AHF, Robert Carr and ViiV Healthcare.
By the end of the training series, people will be able to exercise leadership in their communities for the defense and full exercise of human rights and response to HIV/AIDS and other STIs.
