The original campaign "I'm Happy! I'm Gay! " emerged as a response to the prevailing homophobic discourse in Paraguay. The intent of the campaign is to affirm the right to freedom of expression and formation of the personality of every human being. Originally this campaign was launched in 2007 by the group of precursor citizens of SOMOSGAY. The impact of the same has been so durable that the very name of the organization has been influenced by it.

This second edition of the campaign, extending the concept to make visible fellow lesbians.

The intention of the campaign is to secure more positive paradigms on gays and lesbians, allowing better conditions in society to facilitate the exit of the closet of our fellow citizens. The clear and direct message, seeks to contribute to the process of building a more plural, diverse, democratic, egalitarian and free society in which we can all be happy in full dignity.
