Life and Health Area of SOMOSGAY organization, offers this service completely free, voluntary and confidential. Implemented as of Friday 23 October 2009, as part of SOMOSGAY joint strategy to increase the prevention of AIDS in the LGBT community. The privileged location of SOMOSGAY CENTER offers the ease of reaching a large number of people in the community.
For the first time that this service is enabled on an LGBT community center in the country. SOMOSGAY and the MINISTRY OF PUBLIC HEALTH AND WELFARE take the first step in giving a greater commitment to increase access to these services for the Paraguayan community in general and the LGBT community in particular.
TEST FREE Service offers several advantages over traditional tests. The principal advantage is the short waiting time to receive results in just 20 minutes and the user is able to know the test results, enabling a single visit can know the status and receive counseling. This can help increase the number of people who are tested and reduce the number of those not returning for their results.
The FREE TEST quick test makes use of a pin prick on the finger. The technician in charge of the test sample placed in a test tube with chemicals for processing. The results are obtained in 20 minutes or less.
